What if you could receive all the wealth destined for your entire life—right now? Would you spend it wisely… or lose it all
Once upon a time, a saintly man—Mahatma Ji—was on his way to a quiet forest to meditate and connect with the Divine. As he walked along a dusty path, a poor man stopped him.
“Mahatma Ji,” the man said humbly, “you are close to God, you speak to Him. Please give Him a message from me.”
The saint nodded, listening intently.
“I’ve lived a life of poverty,” the man continued. “Every day is a struggle to earn just enough for two meals. If possible, please ask God to give me all the wealth I’m ever meant to have in this life—but give it to me now, at once. So I can at least live a few years in peace.”
Mahatma Ji paused. “But my friend,” he said kindly, “if you receive all your destined wealth at once, what will you live on in the future?”
The man insisted, “I’ve already suffered enough. I’ll manage the rest somehow. Just once, let me live with abundance.”
Mahatma Ji saw his determination and promised to convey his wish to God.
A few weeks later, by some divine miracle, the man received a huge amount of wealth. He was overwhelmed—he had never seen so much money in his life! But soon a thought struck him:
“I’ve wasted so many years in poverty. I never got a chance to serve God or others. And since I won’t receive any more wealth after this, why not use it for something meaningful?”
With that, he used most of his riches in acts of charity and divine service—feeding the poor, helping build temples, and supporting spiritual causes.
Two years later, Mahatma Ji happened to pass through that area again. Curious, he decided to visit the man, assuming he must be back in poverty after spending all his wealth.
But when he reached the man’s home, he was shocked—his old hut was now a beautiful mansion!
Confused, the Mahatma asked, “You received all your wealth at once. How is it possible that you’re now living in even greater abundance?”
The man smiled humbly. “I truly don’t know, Mahatma Ji. I only did what felt right—I used what I got in service of God. After that, I never asked for more. Yet, blessings kept flowing. I guess only God can explain this mystery.”
That night, Mahatma Ji sat in deep meditation and asked the Divine, “How is this possible?”
And the answer came like a whisper from the heavens:
“Wealth stolen fades. Wealth burnt is lost.
But the wealth used for divine purpose multiplies the most.”
