The Sleepy River and the Silver Fish

The Sleepy River and the Silver Fish

A calm river under moonlight with a small silver fish swimming, bedtime story about trust
Reading Time: < 1 minute

The river flowed quietly under the moonlight.

Its water shimmered like silver as it wound through fields and forests.

Near the riverbank swam a little silver fish named Finny.

Every evening, Finny loved to follow the river’s gentle current.

But one night, Finny looked ahead and saw the river disappearing into the darkness.

He felt nervous.

“River,” he whispered, “where do you go when the night becomes dark?”

The river chuckled softly.

“I continue my journey.”

“But what if you get lost?” asked Finny.

“What if you cannot see the way?”

The river’s water sparkled beneath the moon.

“I trust the path,” said the river. “Even when I cannot see every turn, I keep flowing.”

Finny thought about this.

The stars shone above.

The cool water moved gently around him.

Everything felt calm.

“Do you ever stop?” asked Finny.

“Sometimes I rest,” replied the river. “But my journey always continues.”

Finny smiled.

He floated beside the river and closed his eyes.

The river carried its song through the quiet night.

And as Finny drifted into sleep, he knew that tomorrow would bring new adventures.

The river flowed on.

The stars watched above.

And the night rested peacefully.
