It was a cold winter night.
The stars twinkled above the little village.
Seven-year-old Aarav sat beside the window, watching the chilly wind dance through the trees.
“Brr… it’s so cold,” he whispered.
Just then, Dadi walked into the room with a soft, woollen shawl.
“This shawl has kept our family warm for many winters,” she said with a smile.
She gently wrapped it around Aarav’s shoulders.
The shawl felt warm and cozy.
“It smells like you, Dadi,” Aarav said happily.
Dadi laughed softly.
“That is because I have worn it for many years.”
Aarav held the shawl close.
“Will I always have this warmth?” he asked.
Dadi gently stroked his hair.
“My shawl may become old one day,” she said, “but my love will always stay with you.”
Aarav looked outside again.
The cold wind still blew across the village.
But somehow, it didn’t feel so cold anymore.
He hugged Dadi tightly.
“Good night, Dadi.”
“Good night, beta,” she whispered.
Wrapped in the warm shawl and even warmer love, Aarav closed his eyes.
Outside, the stars continued to shine.
Inside, love made the little home feel warmer than ever.
